Celebrate
The Western Career of A Legendary American Icon
He was the most celebrated
entertainer of the 20th century, an enduring American icon whose impact
on popular culture is beyond measure. Today, Elvis Presley's music
and spirit lives in the hearts of millions of fans and his face and
voice are instantly recognized by fans around the world.
At the height of his fame, Elvis
Presley®
remained a down-to-earth person, with a strong sense of his roots and a
deep affection for the fans who called him "the King of Rock 'n' Roll®."
And like the rest of us, Elvis Presley had heroes of his own.
Elvis Presley was a great admirer of America's courageous law
enforcement officers, forming friendships with peacekeepers around the
country. Over time, Elvis acquired an impressive assortment of
badges and was an enthusiastic collector of fine firearms.
Now, America Remembers is pleased to announce the Elvis Presley®
Western Tribute Revolver. For this Elvis Presley Tribute, we
selected the Single Action Revolver, a classic firearm from the days of
the Old West. Each working revolver in this edition is produced
for us by the master craftsmen of A. Uberti, who have expertly created
this classic firearm just as they have created so many of the western
classics since 1959, and have established themselves as the premier
maker of historical firearms recreations. The Old West was an era
that fascinated Elvis and one that served as a setting for some of his
most memorable films.
This striking Elvis Presley Tribute is decorated in spectacular 24-karat
gold, with magnificent images of Elvis Presley dressed Western-style;
looking - as always - like a million bucks. Each Tribute revolver
is decorated by craftsmen commissioned specifically by America
Remembers, and the entire project has been carried out with the
cooperation and approval of Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc.
Single Action revolvers played an important role in America's Western
frontier days of the late 19th century. Known affectionately as the
"Peacemaker" among other names, the Single Action was the handgun of
choice for many of the legendary lawmen, outlaws, and settlers on the
Western frontier.

In 1956, Twentieth Century- Fox selected
Elvis Presley to star in "The Reno Brothers," a Western period
piece set just after the Civil War. On the strength of the classic
ballad Elvis Presley sang for the soundtrack, the film was renamed "Love
me Tender." It was the first of 33 motion pictures for Elvis
Presley, who would establish himself as one of Hollywood's most bankable
superstars. In 1960, Elvis Presley appeared in "Flaming Star,' playing a
ranchers whose parentage was half Kiowa Indian. It was a challenging,
serious role and Elvis Presley impressed the critics and fans with a
performance that showed his tremendous range as an actor. Nine years
later, his third and final Western was "Charro!" where he
played a reformed outlaw who goes up against his former gang to save a
town.

On this Elvis Presley Western Tribute Revolver you will find a detailed
portrait of Elvis Presley on the recoil shield. With his cowboy attire,
Elvis cuts the dashing figure of a Western hero. The artistic combination of
nickel with a special blackened patinaed highlights gives the portrait an
incredible, three-dimensional quality.
Each turn of the cylinder reveals additional images of
the superstar entertainer from a different angles. Between the portraits are
images of guitars, which figured so prominently in Elvis Presley's musical
hits. Beneath the portraits and guitars are musical notes, symbolizing
Elvis' love of music and reflecting Elvis' significant role in music
history.
Located on the frame below the recoil
shield is the "TCB"®
logo Elvis Presley adopted and shared with his closest friends. Together
with a lightening bolt, the logo stands for "Taking Care of Business in a
Flash." Both sides of the barrel feature the legend, Elvis Presley®
Western Tribute, fashioned in a nostalgic Western font. Along the back strap
is additional scrollwork and an authentic recreation of Elvis Presley's
signature. The back strap also features a guitar in front of the Gates of
Graceland®,
Elvis' beloved home.
Included with your Elvis Presley®
Western Tribute Revolver is a handsome display case.
