James Arness Tribute Revolver

Honoring One of Hollywood's
Most Beloved Cowboys
James Arness Tribute Revolver - Left Side

There were many popular actors who made their mark as Western personalities, but no one had a longer, or more successful career as a lawman of the Old West than James Arness.  For many Western enthusiasts, James Arness is best remembered from his role as Marshal Matt Dillon in Gunsmoke, the longest running dramatic series in television history.  Arness stands tall among the legendary Hollywood cowboys, an imposing 6 feet 7 inches.  with his imposing presence, Arness was perfectly suited to play the role of the pioneering frontiersman or rugged lawman.

Today, we are proud to announce the first-ever commemorative revolver honoring this legendary icon of the West - The James Arness Tribute Revolver.  Millions of Americans still fondly recall the golden era of the Westerns, and James Arness remains a favorite of fans around the world.  Only 250 James Arness Tribute Revolvers have been authorized by Mr. Arness and the Tribute is available exclusively from America Remembers.

The revolver is polished and decorated in 24-karat gold, and the artwork is captured in nickel, with special blackened patinaed highlights to accentuate the details.  The barrel reads "James Arness Tribute" framed by elegant scrollwork.

On the cylinder, three additional portraits of Arness are featured, along with a lawman's badge.

The recoil shield features a handsome portrait of James Arness with his familiar smile - a smile of trust and warmth that established a special relationship with his fans.  The backstrap includes James Arness' signature, along with an image of Arness on horseback.

Each revolver now available in this edition is produced for us by the master craftsmen of Uberti, who have expertly created this classic firearm just as they have created so many of the western classics since 1959, and have established themselves as the premier maker of historical firearms recreations.  For decades, their craftsmen have combined modern high-grade materials with the time-honored methods of finishing creating exquisite, working reproductions of history's greatest firearms.

Handsome Display Case

Included with each Tribute is an elegant display case to protect and exhibit this historic Tribute to a legendary figure in American history.

This edition is issued in a very limited quantity of only 250 Tributes.  With a design that melds efficiency with beauty, the Single Action Revolver is known for its smooth handling, balance and style, characteristics that earned it a reputation as a classic Western six-shooter, admired by lawmen and outlaws alike.  Today, the Single Action revolver remains a popular favorite with collectors and Old West shooters.
