Once a Marine, always a Marine. Whether serving and
protecting his country while on active service, or enjoying his free time
in the great American outdoors, a Marine adheres to the same high
principles of honor and integrity.
Marines approach every task with determination and valor, making them not
only America's first to fight, but also some of the best sportsmen any
where in the world. For every Marine who enjoys the thrill of the
outdoors, we present the "Leatherneck Sportsman Tribute Rifle."
Each rifle is decorated to honor the heritage of the Corps, and the great
outdoors.
For the Tribute, we have selected a genuine working Model 94 Winchester
rifle, in caliber .30-30, decorated in 24-karat gold and nickel by
craftsmen commissioned specifically for this issue by America Remembers.
The Model 94 is a classic deer hunting rifle, and it has been a favorite
for generations of hunters.
The "Leatherneck Sportsman Tribute Rifle" will serve to remind every
Marine of memories experienced while serving in the Corps. It will
be the focal point in any setting, proudly displaying your devotion to the
Marines, and will be a cherished reminder of the special times and
camaraderie.

The elaborately decorated 24-karat gold and nickel
receiver honors the heritage of the Corps with the familiar eagle, globe and anchor
emblem, and the world renowned Drill Instructor with campaign hat.

|
|
The left side of the receiver features a magnificent whitetail buck along
with the inscription "Leatherneck Sportsman Tribute."
|
|
|
The rifle's handsome stock is laser-carved on each side with symbolic
artwork honoring a Marine's service to his country. You will find the opening words
from the Marines' Hymn flanked by a Marine in full combat gear and a parade-dressed Marine
saluting with his sword.

The forearm features the Marine motto "Semper Fidelis" (Always
Faithful) flanked by bold scrollwork.
The Leatherneck Sportsman Tribute Rifle is issued
by The Armed Forces Commemorative Society®,
an affiliate of America Remembers, a non-governmental organization
dedicated to the remembrance of notable Americans and historic American
events, and is not affiliated with the United States Military. |
