The left side of the slide proudly honors the Marine's "Finest Hour," the
grueling and hard-fought victory at Iwo Jima.
Also featured is a scene from Vietnam depicting two Marines firing at
enemy troops through dense jungle. Prominently featured at the
center of the design, the heritage of the Corps is honored with the
familiar eagle, globe and anchor logo. The Marine Corps motto "Semper
Fi," or "Always Faithful," is proudly displayed in a
flowing banner at the muzzle end of the slide.

|
 |
The right side features a World War I trench warfare scene, the epic
Battle of Belleau Wood, and Marines on patrol amid the harsh winter
conditions during the Korean War. A portrait of MajGen John A.
Lejeune, Father of the Marine Corps Association, is featured along with
the magazine nameplate, "Leatherneck." Framing the artwork
on both sides of the slide is elegant scrollwork in the tradition of the
finest presentation firearms. Completing the decorations, each side
of the slide features the official seal of the Marine Corps Association,
your assurance that each Tribute in the edition is authorized by the
Association.
