TRAVIS TRITT |
 |
As a youngster in Marietta, Georgia, Travis Tritt grew up with a love for music. He began playing guitar at the age of eight
and began writing songs at fourteen. Success did not come quickly, but Travis continued to
play music while working various jobs. Eventually, Travis decided to concentrate full-time
on his music. He quit his job and worked the honky tonk circuit, while recording demos for
the studios. In 1989, Travis landed a recording contract, and in 1990, his debut album
"Country Club" was released. It was very successful, producing four #1 singles,
and Travis was on his way to the career of his dreams. In 1991, the Country Music
Association presented him with the coveted Horizon Award.
In addition to his very successful recording career, Travis
has expanded his talents to include films. Travis particularly enjoys the opportunity to
perform in film and television episodes, and you have probably seen him in one or more of
his roles. To date, hes appeared in the Western film "Rio Diablo,"
"The Cowboy Way," the action-packed thriller "Fire Down Below" and
"Outlaw Justice." On television, he starred in "Tales From the Crypt,"
"Arli$$" and the television dramas "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman,"
"Diagnosis Murder," and "Touched By An Angel."
Even with his tremendous popularity and success, Travis maintains his
down-to-earth qualities. He enjoys life and strives to always please his
fans. With his ability to capture the emotions we experience and express
them in ways that touch us on a very personal level, we can relate to his
songs, and this partly explains his tremendous success. |
