Elvis Presley® Tribute Revolver

The Elvis Presley® Tribute Revolver

The word “legend” gets tossed around a lot these days, but few deserve the title as much as the young man from Memphis who set the world on fire. The legend of Elvis Presley continues to grow even more than thirty years after his death, as millions of devoted fans keep alive the legacy of the one and only King of Rock ‘N’ Roll™. Whether on stage, on record or on the big screen, Elvis Presley was a true original.

Now America Remembers, working closely with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., is especially pleased to announce an exclusive new issue honoring this legendary American icon: The Elvis Presley® Tribute Revolver.

A Classic Tribute
We chose the legendary Model 1860 Army Revolver for this Tribute in honor of Elvis’ very first film, “Love Me Tender” (1956). In it, Elvis plays Clint Reno, a man whose brother goes off to fight for the Confederates during the Civil War and returns to find a different kind of conflict at home. It’s a memorable big-screen debut for Elvis set against the backdrop of frontier Texas at the start of America’s legendary Old West days.

The Civil War revolutionized firearm technology, and one of the most famous firearms of this era was the classic Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver, which was considered the ultimate percussion handgun of its day. Not only did the 1860 Army Revolver perform exceptionally on the battlefield, but following the Civil War it went West with settlers. As settlers, lawmen and outlaws headed toward the Pacific, they made sure to bring along their trusted 1860 Army to help carve the way.

Revolvers for this Tribute are produced by the master craftsmen of A. Uberti, which is regarded as the world’s premier maker of historic firearms recreations. Craftsmen commissioned specifically by America Remembers decorate the revolver in lustrous 24-karat gold and nickel with a blackened patinaed background to highlight the details of the artwork.

Elvis on the Big Screen
Few artists have changed the world like Elvis Presley. In addition to selling millions of records and leading the rock-and-roll phenomenon, Elvis became a bona-fide movie star. In a little over a decade, Elvis starred in 33 films.

Even at the height of his success, Elvis Presley remained a down-to-earth person, with a strong sense of his roots and a deep affection for his fans. Growing up, he idolized the lawmen of the Old West, men of action who were always ready to draw pistols and fight for what was right.

It was for this reason and because Elvis held a lifelong admiration of firearms that he especially relished the chance to work on films set on the frontier. In these movies he got to use the legendary pistols and rifles of the Old West that have become such a part of America’s heritage. Besides his iconic debut in “Love Me Tender,” Elvis played a half-Kiowa rancher in “Flaming Star” and a gunfighter caught between the Mexican Army and the U.S. Cavalry in “Charro!”

Located on the recoil shield is the distinctive “TCB®” logo. Together with a lightning bolt, the logo stands for “Taking Care of Business in a Flash.”

Featured on the left side of the cylinder is a handsome portrait of Elvis during his rise to fame in the 1950s.

Both sides of the impressive 8” barrel feature a handsome nickel-plated banner identifying the pistol as the “Elvis Presley Tribute.” Also featured is an authentic, nickel-plated recreation of Elvis’s signature on either side of the barrel, close to the cylinder.

All artwork is featured in stunning 24-karat gold and nickel with a blackened patinaed background to highlight the details of the artwork. The overall design is complemented by handsome, hand-polished American walnut grips.

The top of the backstrap features the iconic seal that identifies this Tribute as a Signature Elvis Presley Product. As a final touch of elegance, decorative scrollwork continues down the length  of the backstrap.

The right side of the cylinder features a portrait of Elvis with his guitar slung over his shoulder. The detail in the picture is remarkable and the likeness reminiscent of his iconic early TV appearances where he would set hearts aflame across America with his dynamic performances.
