Riding high in his saddle and leading his
fellow cowboys in song, Gene Autry was a dashing American motion picture
hero. When his gentlemanly manner wasn't enough to defuse an explosive
encounter, he turned to his reliable .45 Single Action Revolver. Now
you can own this important working firearm issued in tribute to Gene
Autry's brilliant career.
Issued with The Gene Autry Western Heritage
Museum - where Gene's original Single Action is on exhibit - the Gene
Autry Revolver is crafted in an edition of 1,000 by craftsmen commissioned
exclusive by America Remembers.
The barrel is forged of steel and then
blued in the tradition of the finest revolvers. The grips are crafted
of faux ivory. And the gun is embellished in nickel and
24-karat gold with images that trace the illustrious career of this true
American hero. Gene's famous portrait is etched on the recoil shield. The
words of his song, "Back in the Saddle Again," are etched around the
cylinder. His signature is on the left side of the barrel and "The Singing
Cowboy" on the right. On the backstrap, you'll discover "Melody Ranch,"
his radio show..."Champion," his beloved horse ... and his own personal
symbol - the Flying "A". And, on the loading gate is the official symbol
of the Gene Autry Western Heritage Museum.

A fully functional firearm, this fine
handcrafted revolver is a tribute to a time when the good guys always
triumphed and our favorite cowboys were larger than life.
