| A Tribute to America’s Legendary G-Men

|
They called it the “Roaring
Twenties” for a reason. Throughout the 1920s, America’s lawmen struggled to
uphold the law as prohibition fueled the growth of organized crime and
bootlegging became the newest pastime for thugs and thieves. When the stock
market crashed, the Great Depression brought hard times to America. And
those hard times created even harder criminals. The 1930s exploded into a
Golden Age for bank robbers, bandits and gangsters.
Caught in one of the most
violent periods in American history, local law enforcement officers needed
help, and they needed it quick. Luckily, just as the crime epidemic
threatened to overtake them, a new breed of federal law enforcer arrived.
America needed someone to fight back. They got the G-Men.

Marching into harm’s way,
Federal Agents, led by J. Edgar Hoover, became symbols of strength and
determination. And as notorious crooks, such as Al Capone, John Dillinger
and Baby Face Nelson, fell, the courageous G-Men (short for “Government
Men”) became true heroes of law enforcement. And as they continued to bust
up rural and big city crime waves, the G-Men became part of popular
mythology. For a disillusioned and downtrodden nation, the G-Men became folk
heroes. |

Now, America Remembers proudly
introduces the G-Men/J. Edgar Hoover Tribute Thompson. To honor
the G-Men, we selected the one firearm which truly symbolizes that turbulent
time in American history: the Thompson submachine gun in caliber .45 ACP. This masterpiece remains one of the most famous firearms in American
history, symbolizing the Gangster Era of the 1930s.
Now is Your Opportunity
Now is your chance to become the
envy of all those who truly appreciate an unforgettable American firearm,
one that remains a powerful symbol of one of the most exciting periods in
our history and that commemorates those who gave everything in the name of
law and order.
Only 750 of the Tributes will be
produced. Reservations will be accepted in the order they are received. Your
G-Men Tribute Thompson will be individually numbered and accompanied by a
Certificate of Authenticity. America Remembers will arrange delivery of your
working Thompson through a licensed firearms dealer of your choice. If you
are not completely satisfied with your Tribute after personal
inspection, you may return it in its original unfired condition within thirty days for
a complete and courteous refund.

The left side features a detailed
portrait of J. Edgar Hoover, along with a depiction of his signature. To
this day, J. Edgar Hoover stands as the most recognized G-Man in history.
Also featured is a decorative gold banner and artwork depicting two agents
apprehending a suspect.

The right side of the receiver features
three agents posing with their Thompsons next to their vehicle. Next to
the
banner that reads “A Tribute to G-Men,” three agents pose with their
Thompsons. Throughout the legacy of Hollywood films, the G-Men have been dramatically
portrayed, influencing America’s collective imaginations of the Gangster
Era. Also on the right, J. Edgar Hoover aims a Thompson. The addition of the
Thompson turned the tide in the Bureau’s fight against organized crime. The
Tribute’s richly polished walnut stock has “The G-Men” laser-etched on both
sides.
