Honoring the NRA's tireless
and patriotic
commitment as "Defenders of Freedom,"
the M1 Garand Rifle is a legendary and trusted
firearm which played an important role in the
success of America's Armed Forces
during critical times in our Nation's history.
Officially authorized by the National Rifle Association.

|
The M1 Garand was the first semiautomatic
rifle to be utilized by a major military power, and was the designated
American service rifle during World War II and the Korean War. As the
basic weapon during combat, the M1 Garand was carried by millions of
soldiers and Marines, and proved to be extremely accurate and reliable
during combat missions throughout Africa, Europe, the Pacific and later in
Korea. The M1 Garand was designed for
long-range accuracy and could be fired with a much greater rapidity and
less recoil than previous military rifles. In batte, it truly earned its
reputation as the "GI's Best Friend." With an effective range of
approximately 450 yards, the M1 Garand afforded American troops a decided
advantage over their foes on the battlefield.
Perhaps the most ringing endorsement of the
weapon from World War II was attributed to General George S. Patton, Jr.,
"In my opinion, the M1 rifle is the greatest battle implement ever
devised."
The handsomely decorated firearm will
perfectly complement any firearms collection, and honors all those who
served so proudly in our military. |

On the right side is the "V for Victory" seal, which appeared in the NRA's
"Plan for Approved Small Arms Firing Schools," one of the Associations
many efforts in World War II to help the Allies win the war and protect
American civilians in case of invasion.
|
|

On the left side of the rifle, the modern circular "NRA" logo is featured,
framed with banners proclaiming the rifle as the "National Rifle
Association Tribute."
The M1's American walnut
stocks are highly polished and adorned with laser-carved artwork
representing the NRA's heritage and legacy. Each side of the rifle's
buttstock holds the original and universally recognizable NRA "Eagle"
crest.

|
The left side of the
receiver is decorated with 24-karat gold. Artwork features a militia member
armed with a musket standing guard and a banner which bears the familiar
phrase..."The Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms...."
|
 |
The Tribute's
operating rod is adorned with the NRA's "Armed with Pride" logo, framed
with scrollwork, and National Rifle Association of America.
|
|
 |
On the M1's bottom trigger
housing, flowing scrollwork surrounds a star-studded eagle and a banner,
with the legend "Defenders of Freedom," representing the NRA's ongoing
commitment to protecting America's cherished freedoms. All artwork is
featured in elegant 24-karat gold. Additionally, the rifle's front and
rear sights, trigger, lower barrel band and handguard clip are polished
and decorated in 24-karat gold. |
