and expertly trained, nothing stops a Ranger from achieving his objective.
The Ranger Spirit Tribute from America Remembers honors the army's elite
fighting corps for doing what they do best...moving "farther, faster and
fighting harder than any other soldier in the world."
They are the eyes and ears of the U.S. Army...the highly
skilled, expertly trained team that goes in first. They lead the way
anywhere in the world to carry out surveillance missions and precision
raids with vigilance, strength and resolve. To wear the gold and black
Ranger tab on your sleeve is to be one of the most elite combat soldiers
in the world.
For generations, U.S. Army Rangers have given their all
for our country. This tradition continues today as Rangers remain at the
forefront in the battle against our enemies. In their honor, America
Remembers salutes the Army's elite fighting force with the Ranger Spirit
Tribute Colt .45 Pistol, an Officially Licensed Colt Commemorative issued
by America Remembers.
To honor the legendary Rangers and their storied
heritage, we have chosen the classic Colt®
Government Model®
Pistol. Perhaps no handgun holds a greater significance in our nation's
history than the Colt Government Model 1911 pistol, a favorite of American
servicemen in major military campaigns, including World War I, World War
II, Korea and Vietnam.

Left side of the slide features a wary Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol
crossing a stream and entering an ensured recon box just hours before
dawn. Also featured is an illustration, inspired by the Ranger Creed, "I
will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy," as
Rangers help one of their own to safety. To the rights of the banner, an
illustration depicts today's elite Rangers equipped with automatic
weapons, a grenade launcher and a VRC-68 radio, an essential piece of
equipment for any Ranger team on a mission. Also featured are two Rangers
parachuting to a designated target. |

This stirring Tribute takes you into action with the Rangers. On the right
side of the slide, artwork depicts Ranger teams as they insert into
hostile-held territory by helicopter. Rangers leap down from their
helicopters to the landing zone and head for cover. They carry Government
Issue and personal choice weaponry to get the job done. A roster lists the
earliest conflicts in which Rangers played a vital role. At the muzzle is
an excerpt from the Ranger Creed. |
