Samuel Colt’s legacy was
established with the introduction of the Walker Revolver, the largest
handgun ever produced by the Colonel’s legendary company. Today, the Colt
Walker is considered one of the most desirable firearms of the Old West
era. Now, America Remembers is proud to offer The Spirit of the American
Indian Tribute Revolver, issued in a limited edition of 300, which honors
the all-American symbols of the Western frontier – the American Buffalo
and the American Indians of the Plains.
This Tribute celebrates a time in our past when the American Indians lived
freely on the plains, following massive herds of buffalo, which provided
all their necessities of life. Every detail on this Tribute Revolver has
been carefully designed to honor the spirit of these brave and noble
people who once roamed as openly as the sweeping lands they inhabited,
fighting for decades to retain their way of life and freedom on the
Western frontier.
Each Colt Model 1847 Walker Revolver in this exclusive edition is produced
by Colt Blackpowder Arms Company. Craftsmen commissioned specifically for
this project by America Remembers decorate each Tribute in sparkling
24-karat gold, including special blackened patinaed highlights to
accentuate the detailing.

The right side of the revolver features a timeless portrait of Sitting
Bull on the cylinder, capturing the proud and determined strength of this
legendary Sioux leader. The frame features a majestic lone buffalo roaming
the plains, with Indian tepees spanning the distance. The American Buffalo
is an icon of the Western frontier and a symbol of the American spirit of
freedom. This historic Walker has a color-case hardened frame and recoil
shield, hammer, and loading lever. Artwork is featured in lustrous
24-karat gold with blackened patinaed highlights.

The left side
of the revolver features a classic pose of Geronimo on the cylinder,
capturing the stoic and determined face of this legendary Apache leader.
Featured on the left side of the frame is a buffalo hunt in full tilt,
with four mighty bison being herded along at top speed by a pair of
hunters on horseback. One hunter is taking aim with his rifle, while the
other is targeting with his bow and arrow. The features on these images
are captured in meticulous detail, from the fur on the buffalo to the
strength and speed of the hunter’s horse. The barrel features the legend
“Spirit Of The American Indian” in sparkling 24-karat gold.
