A Celebration of America's
Wildlife Heritage

Spirit of the Wild Tribute Rifle

For many generations, the Native Americans have felt a strong spiritual bond to the animals with which they share the earth. They watch them, learn from them, and consider them their brothers, with an enduring respect to the free spirit of the natural world in which these animals live. Even today, as Americans we feel a bond with these majestic creatures who represent a link to our nation’s history. They provide us with a bridge to our past, a time of untamed beauty and wonder, and continue to inspire us as symbols of the independence we so greatly admire as a nation.

In honor of North America’s rich natural heritage and wildlife preservation efforts, America Remembers is proud to present the Spirit of the Wild Tribute Rifle, featuring the artwork of Rosemary Millette, one of the foremost wildlife artists in America today.

The Spirit of the Wild Tribute Rifle includes Millette’s handsome wildlife portraits of the buffalo, the gray wolf and the bald eagle. Each animal is symbolic of the strength, courage and freedom that are so much a part of the America spirit! Yet by the start of the 20th century, each of these animals was teetering on the brink of extinction.
