Tom Mix Tribute Revolver - Premier and Classic Editions

The Golden Age of the Hollywood Western lives again with the Tom Mix Tribute Revolver.

Movie posters called him "the man who never fakes." For three thrilling decades, Tom Mix lived up to the title.

Whether smashing through a plate glass window, leaping a gorge on his wonder horse Tony or tearing into the bad guys in a bare-knuckled brawl, there was no "faking" in a Tom Mix film. His fans paid to see their hero in action, and that's just what they got; Tom Mix himself.

Audiences responded by making Mix one of Hollywood's first superstars. In his heyday, he earned huge sums of money and surrounded himself with the best things money could buy.

Yet through it all, he kept his down-to-earth sensibilities and maintained a public persona that never wavered from the strictest of moral codes.

To the generations who thrilled to his adventures in movies, on the radio, in comic books and novels, Tom Mix represented the highest ideals a youngster could aspire to: honesty, fair play, patriotism and chivalry.

Today, the life and legend of this legendary American are honored with the Tom Mix Tribute from America Remembers. Featuring the classic design of the Colt Single Action Army revolver, the Tom Mix Tribute is elaborately decorated in handsome 24-karat gold and limited to an edition of just 250 guns.

A Tribute Worthy of "The Master Showman"

The Tom Mix Tribute is being issued in two spectacular editions, each featuring the classic Single Action Army with a 5 1/2" barrel, each splendidly adorned with a wealth of 24-karat gold decorations.

The "Premier" edition of the Tom Mix Tribute will be limited to fifty pistols issued on a Colt Single Action Army Revolver. The "Premier" edition will bear edition numbers "1" through "50."

The "Classic" edition will be the work of the world-renowned gunmakers of A. Uberti, whose reproductions of famous firearms have earned a reputation for unparalleled excellence for more than four decades.

Both the "Premier" and "Classic" editions of the Tom Mix Tribute are working firearms, and both feature the same handsome 24-karat gold decorations, applied by the most accomplished artisans in the United States under direct commission from America Remembers.

Exquisitely detailed scrollwork highlights the entire frame each revolver in the grand tradition of firearm engraving, while the legendary "TM" brand appears along the barrel and on each chamber of the cylinder.

On the left, an incredible portrait of Tom Mix highlights the recoil shield. This powerful image of his ever-present Stetson hat captures the essence of his heroic character. On the left side, you will see the monument erected at the site of Mix's death. Above the image, the inscription reads, "With His Boots On." The top of the barrel is inscribed with the dates this amazing life began and ended.

A pair of presentation-grade faux ivory grips provide the crowning touch to this design, laser-etched with pinpoint accuracy to bear the Tom Mix name, familiar Stetson hat and familiar "TM" brand.
 

The Big Little Books are genuine, original editions printed decades ago, so their condition may vary. They recreate the glory days of the "Tom Mix Straight Shooters," a time of secret codes and handshakes, and "TM" rings made from "lucky horseshoe nails."
