If you want proof that the cowboy way of life is
continuing in America today, you do not need to look any further than Ty
Murray.
Ty Murray is a living legend of the American rodeo,
the most accomplished athlete in the sport’s 100-year history. While
most rodeo cowboys focus on one event, Ty became a champion in three –
bareback, saddle bronc and bull riding. In addition to dominating the
sport’s “rough-stock” disciplines, he’s also a nine-time World Champion
Cowboy. It’s no wonder he’s known as “The King of the Cowboys.”
You would be hard pressed to find more a dedicated or
authentic keeper of the cowboy legacy. Now that Ty Murray has retired
from rodeo competition, he can be found on his 2,100-acre private ranch
in Stephenville, Texas. There he raises cattle, rides horses and lives
the only lifestyle he has ever known. “I’m a cowboy because I’ve
always been a cowboy,” he wrote. “I was born into it.”
Now America Remembers is proud to announce an
exciting, exclusive new Tribute honoring this living legend of the
American Rodeo: The Ty Murray Tribute Revolver. This Tribute is an
elegantly decorated presentation firearm that celebrates the life and
career of nine-time World Champion Cowboy Ty Murray. The Tribute is
issued on America’s classic Western firearm – the Single Action Revolver
– produced by the master craftsmen of A. Uberti.

In choosing a firearm for the Ty Murray Tribute, the
choice seemed clear. After all, no other handgun carries more of the
romance and adventure of cowboys and the Old West than the Single Action
Army revolver. “The Peacemaker” has truly become an iconic firearm and
deserving of the title, “The Gun That Won the West.” No one can say for
sure whether the Single Action revolver tamed the Wild West... or made
it even wilder, but the undisputed truth is that no handgun is more
associated with America’s Wild West.
Craftsmen commissioned specifically for this project
by America Remembers decorate each revolver in sparkling 24-karat gold
and nickel with blackened patina to highlight the details of the
artwork. The result is a remarkable, limited-edition revolver that
celebrates the spirit of a true American original.

On both sides of the barrel you’ll find “Ty Murray”
featured in bold, classic western lettering above the distinction
“Nine-Time World Champion Cowboy.” The wording on the barrel is flanked
by ornate, decorative scrollwork that also adorns the cylinder, frame
and backstrap. On the left side of the recoil shield, you will find a
detailed portrait of Ty, looking every bit the part of the rugged rodeo
legend in his ever-present cowboy hat.
Featured above the trigger on the left side of the
frame, you’ll find Ty doing what he does best atop a bucking bull.
Murray got his first taste of the “most dangerous eight seconds in
sports” when he was still in grade school. Ty excelled at bull riding
and earned many titles and belt buckles on the backs of some of the
sport’s toughest bulls. In 1992 he became one of the founding members of
the Professional Bull Riders, which has brought international fans and
media attention to “America’s original extreme sport.”
On the right side of the frame and also along the
backstrap, you’ll find Ty’s personal motto, “Never Weaken.” Throughout
his life, Ty Murray never lost focus on who he wanted to be and what he
wanted to accomplish. By age 32, Ty Murray retired, having broken every
record and achieved his goal to excel in the sport of professional
rodeo.
