Law & Order Coach Gun

Category: Uncategorized

THIS ISSUE IS CLOSED

An Edition of 100 Hammered Shotguns in the Tradition of the Old West

This working 12-gauge shotgun features gorgeous checkered stocks, handsome blued-steel barrels, and a receiver embellished with detailed scrollwork and elegant nickel and gold artwork.

In the Old West, law enforcement was a dangerous game. Still, every lawman held a powerful trump card – the double-barrel shotgun. No weapon was more universally feared; confronted with the business end of a shotgun, even the most disagreeable desperado was likely to become suddenly cooperative. The kind of damage a scattergun could do to a fellow made even a hangman’s noose look downright comfortable.

Left side of receiver recreates the Pacific-Overland robbery with Butch Cassidy and his Wild Bunch. To the right of the robbery is the badge of a U.S. Marshal and on the recoil shield is the portrait of Judge Isaac Parker, “The Hanging Judge.”

Left side of stock features the James Gang robbing a stagecoach. Entire scene is framed with detailed scrollwork.

LOCG_floorplate

Review the floorplate and you will see Butch Cassidy appearing on a wanted poster offering a $5,000 reward for his capture. The entire scene is surrounded by elegant scrollwork.

LOCG_right

Right side of receiver features symbols of Western law. Highlighted in 24-karat gold, you will find an Arizona Rangers badge, the scales of justice, and a set of old-fashioned handcuffs. A banner with the Legend, “Law West of the Pecos,” the self-proclaimed title of Judge Roy Bean, who is featured on the recoil shield, is also featured.

LOCG_rightstock

Right side of stock features Wild Bill Hickok ready to apprehend a desperado in a local saloon. The detail is so wonderful, right down to the poker chips and half-empty bottle of liquor on the table. Even the bullets in the desperados gunbelt can be seen clearly.
