Clayton Moore – The Lone Ranger

Clayton Moore was a hero to many of us growing up.  If your cowboy hero wore a black mask and rode a white horse, then you have fond memories of Clayton Moore.  Generations of fans know him best as the actor who portrayed The Lone Ranger.  He first rose to fame in the action-packed “cliff-hanger” serials of the 1940’s and 50’s, where he played bold adventurers, fearless lawmen, and even a few ruthless villains.  With more than 50 movies to his credit, years as the Lone Ranger in over 200 television episodes, and two feature films, he earned a place in the history books, popular culture, and in the hearts of millions.

The Lone Ranger taught us that a hero doesn’t have to earn a medal or receive a reward. In fact, a hero doesn’t even wait around to be thanked. To millions of us, Clayton Moore was that hero.

What made Clayton Moore such an enduring hero to our generation was not necessarily the characters he played on the screen, but the character of the man he truly was. We never forgot the lessons the Lone Ranger taught us about honesty, good behavior, and the value of friendship. Clayton Moore lived by a code because he knew what it meant to be a role model for his young fans.

Even though Clayton Moore had not appeared in a regular weekly television series for many years, his fans remained loyal and he continued to make personal appearances up until his death on December 28, 1999.

Now, America Remembers honors this beloved star of movies and television with a fitting tribute, the Clayton Moore Tribute Rifle, a handsomely decorated Winchester Model 94 Rifle.

The Winchester Model 94 is arguably the most famous lever-action rifle of all time. Some gun enthusiasts might go so far as to call it the most perfect rifle ever made. That could very well be true because the Model 94 has been in production for the past 100 years. We have spared no effort in designing this Tribute to Clayton Moore, the Lone Ranger.

Each rifle in the edition is polished and decorated by craftsmen specifically commissioned for this Tribute by America Remembers. On this special Tribute, the 20-inch barrel, hammer, lever, and receiver of the Winchester Model 94 are polished and elegantly decorated in nickel. The forearm end cap and trigger are decorated in 24-karat gold. Both sides of the receiver feature images of Clayton Moore throughout his motion picture and TV career. A blend of 24-karat gold, nickel, and patinaed highlights brings out the details in the artwork.

cmoore-leftside-rec-FPOThe left side of the receiver features three detailed portraits of Clayton Moore. In the center, he is shown with his horse, and holds a rifle across his shoulder. A banner reading Clayton Moore Tribute surrounds the image. To the left he is shown from his early days as a trapeze artist, and to the right, he is shown as a cowboy from his days in Hollywood. Look closely and you’ll see an ornate pistol belt and the grips of a pair of six-shooters incorporated in the artwork design.

cmoore-rightside-rec-FPOThe right side of the receiver features two additional images of Clayton Moore, including an image of Clayton on a rearing stallion. A recreation of his signature is prominently featured in the center of the artwork. Elaborate scrollwork in 24-karat gold frames the artwork on both sides of the receiver. Imagine how handsome this nickel-plated tribute rifle will look displayed in your home or office.

The trigger is polished and decorated in gold. The handsome stocks are polished and laser-carved with artwork and scrollwork elegantly complementing the lavishly decorated receiver and barrel.

The Clayton More Tribute Rifle is being issued in a strictly limited edition of only 300 pieces. Each Tribute is individually numbered from 001-300 and is accompanied by a matching numbered Certificate of Authenticity. As always, if you are not completely satisfied with your rifle, you can simply return it to America Remembers in original, unfired condition within thirty-days for a complete and courteous refund.

CMTRI_bookIf you love the Westerns and Western history, this special limited edition Tribute belongs in your collection! This Clayton Moore Tribute Rifle will bring back fond memories of a time when good always triumphed over evil.
