For the very first time, Ducks Unlimited and America Remembers have teamed to issue an exclusive Tribute honoring America’s waterfowl with the “Ducks Unlimited Tribute Shotgun.” The Tribute is a Remington 870 Wingmaster 12-gauge shotgun handsomely decorated by craftsmen commissioned specifically by America Remembers for this issue.
Each Tribute is decorated in 24-karat gold with a special blackened patinaed background to highlight the details of the artwork. The highly polished walnut stocks are laser-carved on both sides with the ever-popular Ducks Unlimited logo.
Left side of receiver features three scenes of mallards in their wetlands habitat. In the center, a pair of mallards gracefully float on a pond with cattails in the background. “Ducks Unlimited Tribute” is featured in a banner above the scene. The pond scenes also feature a drake taking flight and a hen preparing to land.
Right side of receiver features a flock of mallards soaring Northward to their traditional breeding grounds. The Ducks Unlimited logo appears to the far right. The artwork on both sides of the receiver is bordered by elegant scrollwork.
Laser-Carved Walnut Stocks
The highly polished walnut stocks are laser-carved on both sides featuring the ever-popular Ducks Unlimited logo.
Ducks Unlimited has become the world’s largest private waterfowl and wetlands conservation organization with over one million supporters, and has contributed to the conservation of more than nine million acres of prime wildlife habitat. Waterfowl, however, are not the only beneficiaries of DU’s habitat conservation work. More than 900 species of wildlife depend on DU project sites including dozens of threatened or endangered species. In addition, since wetlands are some of nature’s most valuable and productive ecological systems, they are central to the overall health of our environment. Wetland protection helps recharge groundwater, purify polluted water, moderate flooding, reduce soil erosion, and also provides recreational opportunities for all of us.
