Category: Uncategorized

THIS ISSUE IS CLOSED

America Remembers is proud to be working with Dennis Adler on the America Remembers Heritage Series, reproducing for the first time special variations of the legendary Paterson percussion revolvers. Dennis Adler is a noted firearms historian and author of Colt Blackpowder Reproductions & Replicas and Metallic Cartridge Conversions – The History of the Guns and Modern Reproductions. Each revolver in the series is researched and designed by Dennis Adler, and offered to collectors exclusively by America Remembers.

Now America Remembers introduces a new issue in the America Remembers Heritage Series – the Paterson Improved Belt Model No. 2 Revolver. This Paterson Belt Model is chambered in .36 caliber, with a 5-inch barrel and Ehlers-style loading lever and backstrap. Inspired by the Ehlers Improved Model No. 2, as seen in R.L. Wilson’s “The Paterson Colt Book,” the engraving pattern, inlaid silver barrel bands and ivory grips are based upon original designs. Limited to only 100 examples, each Paterson is customized and hand-finished by gunsmith R.L. Millington (featured in the July 2001 issue of Guns & Ammo), hand-engraved and silver-inlaid by Conrad Anderson (noted for his exceptional engraving and silver work for the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Happy Trails Children’s Foundation), fitted with authentic hand-carved shell and checkered motif ivory grips by Dan Chesiak, and given a high polish Colt blue finish and brilliant case colors by Doug Turnbull Restoration, Inc. This is a truly handcrafted presentation pistol executed in the old world traditions by a team of master craftsmen.

Each Paterson comes in a presentation case of c. 1842 style, crafted by noted Pennsylvania furniture maker Duncan Everhart. Each Paterson comes in a presentation case of c. 1842 style, crafted by noted Pennsylvania furniture maker Duncan Everhart. Each presentation case is constructed from the highest-grade, furniture quality mahogany, and French fit to cradle the revolver, bullet mold, single nozzle brass plunger powder flask, and the Paterson combination tool, which are included with the set.
