Craftsmen commissioned by America Remembers have captured the parallel passions of farming and hunting in sparkling 24-karat gold and nickel on the Model 94’s receiver.  On the left side, a farmer works his field from the seat of a tractor, as a twelve-point buck, doe and her offspring graze at the edge of the woods.  In the background, a farmhouse is shown, surrounded by barns and silos, a sight common on many rural American farms.  Above the scene, the familiar Progressive Farmer logo is displayed.

The right side of the receiver prominently features a handsome trophy buck in a circular cameo, flanked by three whitetail deer to his left, along with the logo of the Rural Sportsman.  The scene to the right represents the time-honored tradition of deer hunting – a farmer and his son perched on the hood of a vintage pick-up truck, examining their rifle as they prepare for a day of hunting.
