Honoring America’s Favorite Western Duo
If Roy Rogers was King of the Cowboys, Gabby Hayes was King of the Sidekicks. Together, they made the greatest team in movie Westerns.
They were the ultimate movie duo; the hard-fighting, clean-living cowboy hero and his gruff but lovable side-kick. Together, Roy Rogers and Gabby Hayes tussled with bandits and desperados to win the West, and the hearts of millions of fans as well.
Now this legendary partnership is recreated with the Roy Rogers™ and Gabby Hayes Tribute, a genuine, working Model 92 Winchester. Each rifle is elegantly decorated in 24-karat gold and nickel by craftsmen specifically commissioned for this issue by America Remembers, and the Tribute is available exclusively from America Remembers.
One look at this handsome rifle and you’re there again with Roy and Gabby, riding off on a trail of adventure. With its solid, balanced weight in your hands, you’ll relive the excitement of those breathtaking chases after “slippery sidewinders” and “dad-blasted scalawags.”
More than fifty years after their last film together, Roy Rogers and Gabby Hayes still stand out as arguably America’s favorite Western team of all time. Now at last there’s a firearm tribute befitting their contributions to American film and Western lore.
An American Classic
One of the most popular sporting rifles ever produced, the Model 92 Winchester was a mainstay in the West, and was a favorite of the silver screen cowboys. It has remained in production for over one hundred years. The lever-action Model 92 has a 20-inch barrel.
Left side of receiver features a detailed portrait of Roy and Gabby in 24-karat gold, nickel, and blueing. A banner reads, “HAPPY TRAILS from Roy and Gabby.” Trigger, Roy’s faithful palomino, is also featured in gold and nickel. The large loop lever is decorated in gold and blueing, and features the well-known “RR” brand.
Right side of receiver features artwork in 24-karat gold, nickel, and blueing. You will find an image of Roy astride his golden palomino, Trigger, rearing up with his famous “Roy Rogers” signature beneath them. Also featured are Roy and Gabby riding off on another adventure.
Isn’t it about time America’s most beloved Western stars were honored in such high style? Yer durned tootin’! The rifle is decorated in a blend of 24-karat gold, nickel, and blueing by craftsmen commissioned specifically for this issue by America Remembers. The trigger, hammer, and lever are hand-polished and finished in gold, while the barrel bands are polished and nickel finished. Combined with the handsome blued steel of the 20 inch barrel and the hand-finished beauty of the richly polished stocks, it makes for one spectacular firearm.
