In accordance with our high standards of quality, each pistol has been designed and decorated by craftsmen commissioned by America Remembers for this tribute. The slide is polished and decorated in lustrous 24-karat gold. Mirror polished blueing, gleaming nickel and rich 24-karat gold accent the finely detailed artwork. The workmanship is outstanding and no detail has been overlooked.
On each side of the slide, the distinctive Rampant Colt is proudly displayed, along with the familiar stylized Colt logo, signifying that each pistol in the edition is an Officially Licensed Colt Product.
The grips for this deluxe Tribute pistol are crafted of rosewood and are checkered in the classic “double diamond” pattern. Inset in each grip is a gold clad Rampant Colt medallion. As a final touch, the grip screws, slide stop, hammer, safety lock and magazine catch are all polished and elegantly clad in lustrous 24-karat gold.

As the centerpiece of the Colt Patriotic Tribute .45 we have chosen the magnificent presidential portraits of Mount Rushmore. Hewn from the side of a mountain, this awe-inspiring monument represents the fulfillment of one man’s dream and a marvel of engineering and perseverance. The left side of the slide also features the Liberty Bell, venerable reminder of our nation’s hard-fought struggle for independence.
The right side of the slide features an image of the Statue of Liberty, the eternal symbol of our land of hope and liberty, along with the majestic American bald eagle, our national emblem and symbol of our nation’s fierce love of freedom. Banners along both sides of the slide proclaim the stirring line that closes the Pledge of Allegiance, affirming that we are truly, “One Nation Under God Indivisible, With Liberty and Justice For All.”
An elegant Display Case is included with each Colt Patriotic Tribute .45 Pistol. It is a handsome, luxuriously lined display case with a brass identification plaque.
