America Remembers offers a Colt .45 where you can customize the artwork and feature the honoree’s name, portrait, and other personalized information. Imagine the moment where you surprise someone you love with this gift of a lifetime! The firearm will become a sentimental family heirloom that will be passed down from generation to generation. Each Tribute is individually handcrafted with custom created artwork to honor the special person of your choice.
We’ll make each Tribute to order, decorated by hand in 24-Karat gold and mirror-polished blued steel.
Using a photo of the honoree provided, artists create an original portrait that captures every detail in 24-karat gold which will be the focal point of the left side of the pistol. On either side of the portrait are areas where customized wording, like the honoree’s basic service information, can be placed which can include their name, rank, service branch, and dates of service. A logo of their service branch is featured prominently on the slide near the hammer.
Our expert craftsmen will create an original portrait from the photo on the slide of the most distinguished military firearm of all time – the legendary Colt .45 pistol.
Each Tribute is created on a working Colt® Government Model® .45 ACP pistol, one of the most distinguished and sought after firearms on the market. The classic Colt .45 Pistol is an American-made firearm legend that defended liberty for almost 75 years through major world wars and history making conflicts. You’d be hard pressed to find a firearm that better represents our military or is more highly prized by those who own them.

The 24-Karat gold decorated Distinguished Service Tribute is the embodiment of elegance and power. In addition to the handsome, detailed artwork on the pistol, each Tribute features rosewood grips with the classic “double-diamond” checkering pattern, enhanced with these special features:
The elegantly rendered personalized, 24-karat gold-decorated portrait of the chosen honoree is displayed proudly in the center of the slide, surrounded by the rank, name, service branch and dates of service. A logo of their service branch is featured prominently on the slide near the hammer.
Each pistol is decorated in 24-karat gold with a handsome, yet traditional, military panoply along the slide featuring classic banners and laurel leaves.
The right side of the slide features a hanging banner reading “Duty, Honor, Service,” flanked by traditional American firearms scrolls. Beside it, a heartfelt thank you is proudly displayed in 24-karat gold against the dark blued steel.

To place your reservation, call our Member Services staff toll-free at 1-800-682-2291 or you can order below online. A small deposit is all that is needed and a monthly payment plan is available.
Once your order is received, we will mail you the appropriate forms to complete your personalization. Your approval of the personalized artwork will be received before we ship your Tribute pistol. Since this is a personalized Tribute, the firearm may not be returned for a refund.
