John Wayne was a man we will always remember with fondness and respect. More than anyone else in recent times, he represented the best of the American spirit.
He spoke to us with honesty and authority and never compromised his principles. And even in our worst moments of national self-doubt, he showed us what it meant to be a real American and be proud of it.
On the right side of the barrel, a stagecoach with a six-up team of horses at full gallop is featured in lustrous 24-karat gold, along with the title of the Tribute, “John Wayne Coach Gun,” also in 24-karat gold.
Left side of barrel features one of John Wayne’s principles of life, “I won’t be wronged, I won’t be insulted,” along with a depiction of John Wayne’s distinctive signature, both in 24-karat gold.
John Wayne’s Red River “D” brand, applied in 24-karat gold, adorns the barrel release lever.
A cartouche on the underside of the receiver contains the edition number of the Tribute.
The blued steel buttplate is etched with the logo of Wayne Enterprises featuring a silhouette of John Wayne.
