Richard Boone was never a man to do things in half measures. Always striving for perfection, he brought something special to every role he played. During his career, he appeared in more than 500 television programs, 65 movies and 11 plays. As TV’s “Paladin,” he was a hard-as-nails gunslinger with a gentleman’s tastes and style; a tough guy likely to follow up a gunfight with a quote from classic literature. He was equally comfortable in the role of a villain, where his convincing portrayals captured the frightening and evil personality of the bad guy for the audience.
For millions of fans around the world, Richard Boone will always be remembered as one of the most beloved of the Hollywood cowboys. That’s why America Remembers is offering The Richard Boone Tribute, a handsomely decorated firearm that would have made its namesake proud. Strictly limited to only 250 rifles, The Richard Boone Tribute is a working Winchester Model 94 rifle in caliber .30-30, decorated with artwork honoring the legendary career of Richard Boone. This special Tribute has been authorized by Peter Boone, Richard’s son, and we have worked closely with Peter in the design of the artwork for this first-ever firearm tribute to one of America’s all-time favorite Western stars.
For the Tribute, we selected the classic Winchester Model 94 Rifle, in caliber .30-30. Winchester rifles were favorites in the Old West, and were also the rifle of choice in many of the cowboy movies and television series. Each working firearm is decorated with incredible detail by craftsmen specifically commissioned by America Remembers for this Tribute, and the Tribute is available exclusively from America Remembers.
The left side of receiver features three magnificent images of Richard Boone in remarkable detail. Featured in the center is a dramatic portrayal of Richard Boone as a cowboy, revolver in hand, with an Old West town in the background. A banner surrounding the image reads “Richard Boone Tribute.” To the left Boone rests against a fence, hat pushed back. Over to the far right is a close-up of Richard Boone off screen, capturing in lifelike detail the character-filled face that defied Hollywood’s attempts to trap him in any one kind of role.
The right side of receiver features Boone on horseback, six-shooter in hand, prepared for any danger. Behind him clouds drift lazily across the open skies of the frontier plains. To the right Boone is shown in a more relaxed moment; recognizing you as a friend, he tips back the brim of his hat with his pistol and breaks into a smile of friendly greeting.
Handsomely framing the artwork on the receiver is elegant scrollwork in the finest style of classically engraved Western firearms. All artwork on the receiver is featured in an elegant combination of 24-karat gold and nickel. Craftsmen specifically commissioned by America Remembers decorate each Tribute.
In addition to the handsome artwork on the receiver, the barrel bands, hammer, lever, and end cap have all been polished and clad in lustrous 24-karat gold to perfectly complement the receiver, and combined with the blued steel of the 20” barrel and tubular magazine, and the laser-carved polished walnut stocks, the result is a museum-quality firearm of uncommon beauty and appeal.
Scrollwork is also featured on the handsome shoulder stock. Barrel bands, sight, magazine end cap, lever and hammer are hand polished and finished in 24-karat gold. Issued in a limited edition of only 250 Tributes, each is individually numbered on the rifle’s tang.
In your home or office, The Richard Boone Tribute will be a special reminder of one of America’s favorite cowboys, and the Tribute will certainly bring back many of your favorite recollections from this special era. I hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity to celebrate the life and career of an American legend.
