The Wyatt Earp Tribute Rifle from America Remembers honors this most legendary of Western lawman with a fully functional reproduction of the classic Winchester Model 73 Carbine.

wyatt2If anything, the legend of the Winchester 73 looms as large as that of Wyatt Earp himself.  Among its many satisfied owners were some of history’s most famous Western figures, from outlaws like Billy the Kid to lawmen like the legendary Texas Rangers.  The year it was introduced, Buffalo Bill Cody called it “the boss…the most complete rifle now made.”

Today, the Model 73 is generally regarded at the “gun that won the West.”  It is truly a classic.  The Tribute is a museum-quality work of art with decorations honoring the most famous lawman in the Old West and the shootout at the O.K. Corral, which may be the most famous gunfight in history.   The master craftsmen of Uberti have expertly created this classic firearm, just as they have created legendary Western firearms for four decades.  Each rifle is decorated by craftsmen specifically commissioned by America Remembers with artwork designed especially for this Tribute.

The Tribute is a fully functional lever-action carbine for use with .45 LC caliber ammunition.  It has been decorated in 24-karat gold with a magnificent blackened background featuring images of frontier marshal Wyatt Earp and the brave men who stood with him in his defining moment in Tombstone.  These dramatic and lifelike images are the work of America’s finest craftsmen, and as you cradle this remarkable work of art, you’ll feel history coming alive in your hands.
